After being taught composition by the late Hideo Murata, he studied under Tomojiro Ikenouchi.
He graduated from the Department of Composition, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed the Department of Composition, Graduate School of Music, while he studied under
Masayuki Nagatomi, Teizo Matsumura, Michio Mamiya, and others.
Engaged in musician training and teacher training as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts, a teacher at Kyoto City Horikawa High School Music Department (currently Kyoto City
Kyoto Horikawa Music High School), a teacher at Yamaguchi University Faculty of Education, and a national university corporation education staff.
On the other hand, he is actively composing mainly instrumental music and chamber music.
